Rows 1-18: K in 1×1 rib

Switch to size 8 needles

Row 19: Knit

Row 20: K4, p to last 4, k4

Repeat rows 19 and 20 until back measures 15”

Armholes

Rows 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11: K1, SSK, k to last 3, k2tog, k1

Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12: Purl

Knit in Stockinette stitch until back measures 22″

Row 1: K34, k2tog, k1, place remaining stitches on stitch holder

Row 2: Purl

Row 3: K to last 3, k2tog, k1

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until 28 stitches remain. End on WS row. BO

Pick up left 34 from stitch holder (leaving 15 behind)

Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12: Purl

Line up front and back with wrong side facing out. Pick up 4 sets of 28 stitches from stitch holders (leaving 15 stitches in the middle on the back) BO, holding front and back together
